Our students come from different backgrounds and with different needs, which is why we pay close attention to content and teaching methods, resulting in learning experiences that are meaningful and fun. International Education

Ollin Center has developed and implemented international education programs in collaboration with universities mainly in the U.S. and Canada.  These programs cover a diverse range of topics, including language and culture, teacher education, food sovereignty, migration, and Latin American studies. Ollin Tlahtoalli has worked with faculty from various universities to create international education programs for students in different areas and fields.

Oaxacan Culture

Through the different educational programs planned and implemented by Ollin Center, participants find opportunities not only to improve their Spanish and enhance their understanding of the Oaxacan cultures, they can also learn about Mexican education systems, teach in Oaxacan schools, interact with local leaders and community members while learning about issues that continue to impact our societies. The meaning of Ollin Tlahtoalli

The words Ollin Tlahtoalli have a Nahuatl origin and carry with them a deep cultural meaning.
Ollin: “Movement” or “change” symbolizes energy and transformation. Tlahtoalli: “Language” or “word”, represents communication and expression. Together, they evoke “the word that transforms” .
